Quality control at NICE Rapid is supported by trained personnel, defined inspection procedures, and project-specific requirements. Before production begins, the company reviews drawings, materials, tolerances, finishing requirements, and inspection expectations to help ensure that production requirements are clearly understood.

Throughout production, NICE Rapid applies inspection and quality-control processes appropriate to the part, manufacturing method, and customer requirements. This approach helps identify potential issues early and supports more consistent results from prototype through low-volume production.

Inspection Equipment and Reporting

Customer specifications can be verified using NICE Rapid’s Tango 564 coordinate measuring machine (CMM). The CMM supports dimensional inspection and measurement reporting for parts with defined inspection requirements.

Depending on project requirements, NICE Rapid can support:

• First-article inspection (FAI)
• Production-run inspection requirements
• Dimensional measurement and inspection reporting
• Review of material, tolerance, and finishing requirements

Quality Control Points

NICE Rapid applies quality-control activities at different stages of the manufacturing process.

• MQC: Reviews workmanship to help ensure that parts meet defined manufacturing and quality requirements.
• IPQC: In-process quality control helps identify and reduce defects during production.
• QA: Quality assurance verifies that finished parts meet agreed customer requirements before delivery.
• IQC: Incoming quality control checks incoming materials or components against applicable specifications.
• QE: Quality engineering supports the use and maintenance of quality-control procedures, inspection methods, and standards.
